Watch Tune-Up

Ten point service performed by Klaus our Master Watchmaker with 40 years experience. 

We recommend this tune-up service when your battery needs replacement to keep your watch and bracelet clean and preventative maintenance to keep your watch functioning well. 

1)  install factory authorized battery
we only use fresh and tested watch batteries recommend by the factory – please never use cheap low end batteries in your watch, the $1 you save may ruin it

2)  clean contacts
contacts are cleaned with a special fluid to remove build up of corrosion which occurs in time from batteries not regularly replaced

3)  replace case gasket
the case seal is replaced, gaskets deteriorate, they need to be intact, the case seal in conjunction with the other gaskets helps seal your watch from dust and moisture

4)  clean bracelet
bracelet is removed, ultrasonically cleaned and sanitized to remove the build up from perspiration and dirt that breeds bacteria – very hygienically necessary

5)  clean coil and circuit
the coil and circuit, are the heart and soul of your quartz watch, they are cleaned with a special fluid and pressured air

6)  replace bracelet pins
the spring loaded pins that hold your bracelet to the watch deteriorate and get bent, if needed we replace them, not with the cheap ones - we use only stainless steel pins

7)  clean watch case
the watch case is the housing of your watch movement, we clean it from dirt and build-up as well as the watch crystal (the plastic that covers the face)

8)  tighten bracelet clasp
clasps that fasten your watch to the bracelet loosen with time, Klaus will check and tightened the clasp for security, any safety chains are also secured

9)  diagnostic check
we perform an electronic diagnostic check on the quartz movement to verify its running properly, should your watch need any other service we provide recommendations and an estimate

10)  free use of a loaner watch
we provide you with a loaner while your watch spends the day with Klaus our Master Watchmaker – dependent on workload we usually give one day service

Warranty Information

In performing a Watch Tune-Up we only do surface cleaning of the watch bracelet, case and movement.  We guarantee the full power and functioning of the battery.  We do not warranty the future functioning of the watch or its water resistance.  Please check your watch manufacturer’s warranty for information on those issues.
